Wolf's Rain

Hey guys sorry for not posting for a very long time... Decided to finally do this post on something "major" that happened so far due to stress. Really need an outlet and I guess doing some long typing will help. Well, below will be the things I did from the earliest event to the latest using present tense...

10/3/2010- 12/3/10
Secondary 3 level camp held at Tanjong Piai in Malaysia... Already written the events in my English Journal and each day's entry was almost 4 pages long so I guess I'll just condense everything to the most interesting parts. Day 1 was the day where I had a debt of a Subway Meal for Jia Qi for cleaning up my shoes, it got very dirty when I got into the muddy river for the challenges and I have a feeling that the "mud" is actually 30% real mud and 70% cow excretion (or to be more direct/uncouth, cow sh-) But I really appreciate her cleaning up my shoes ^^

Day 2 was a waterfall trekking, we were in a forest that had quite a bit of natural obstacles, Eugene was the first man to jump into "danger" while I was the second and sometimes placed myself in the middle so that we can help the people up. Got into the nice, clean and cold waterfall which was a nice change compared to the muddy river, did some random splashing and random people when everybody was in, when we got out a lot of girls who went in were very cold and almost all the boys gave up their jackets for them, so gentlemanly right? I gave up my jacket, but found that the class chairman, Louise, was feeling very cold and didnt have a jacket or extra shirt. I had brought an extra shirt which so happen to be made of quite thick and comfortable cotton, and dug for it in my backpack and gave it to her without so much of a second thought because I didn't have any plan of changing out of the wet clothes anyway since the material of the clothes I was wearing was pretty fast drying by nature. There was a huge muddy patch that we had to cross, and opposite was an immediate hill climb. There was a bendy tree somewhere near it, but after I crossed, I extended my arm (which is quite long I must say) and told the people behind me (which so happen to be all the girls since all the boys made it over first) to grab on to my arm instead of the tree. But most of them insisted on grabbing the tree and I ended up grabbing their hand before they fell and they started shaking a lot till I got quite irritated and forced them up because they weren't trying to climb up.

Day 3, going home. On the bus had a lotta fun playing with Jia Qi's hair since she was sitting right in front of me. Talked for a bit over random things with her, Elena(beside Jia Qi) and Nicole (beside me). Surprisingly, Jia Qi asked me if I wanted to have dinner with her, Elena and Nicole. I thought for a second before saying I may not eat with you, but I'll keep you company as my mom was going overseas the next morning and I had to eat dinner with the family. Then I went home to put down my stuff and get a change of clothes before grabbing my iPod and headphones and left for Compasspoint, KFC where they said to meet. Sat down and waited for Jia Qi and Elena with Nicole, Shirlyn and Ben( They happen to be with Nicole too). When Jia Qi finally arrived, I almost laughed when I saw she plaited her hair and tied a cute white bow at the end along with wearing her glasses (she usually wear contacts) She looked like a cute 7 year old. Walked with her back to the LRT station because everybody else was walking in different directions. We ended up exchanging numbers at the end though.

18/3/10
Class outing (again very little people went). Ended up picking up Jia Qi at the school gate early because she had band and I did owe her a meal, so we just walked together at Compasspoint after she went home to have a quick change of clothes. Walked around the mall till it was time to meet with Tyrone, Doreen, Jia Min, Louise, Yao Kun, Eugene and Ren Yi. Ended up at Subway to eat lunch with the rest. The shoe-washing service ended up costing me $7.80 T.T But since I'm such a gentleman, *_* I will pay the bill :'( We went to Cathay near Plaza Sing to watch Kaiji, but we missed the only screening so we had to walk to Plaza Sing. It started to rain and I was the only one who brought an umbrella. But before I knew everybody started "jayrunning" to the mrt station which was a longer way. And Jia Qi was about to follow before I grabbed her arm and stopped her because a car would have hit her. Then just told her to follow me because there was a straight path and had an umbrella to share. Just as we were about to cross the road to Plaza Sing, Doreen called and asked where we "disappeared to" and as Jia Qi was replying the rain started to get heavier so I grabbed her arm again and crossed the road with her. Then when we met with the rest, everybody was like "Waa, running in the rain.... So romantic~" and I was like =.= bullsh-... We watched How To Train Your Dragon 3D which I felt was a serious waste of money, because the 3D effects were not much.

I guess that's it for now, wow took me an hour to type this whole post, I feel kinda better thinking of all the happy memories now. See ya~

Okay, the outing happened alright, but there was a slight problem, only 15 of us turned up. Well, not much of a class, but whatever. We still had fun cycling in East Coast Park. We cycled quite far from around the Macdonald past Bedok Jetty about 1-3km. Then cycled back to Macdonald for lunch before going in the other direction to soak in the sea's atmosphere.

Right after that we caught a movie, Coraline. No spelling mistake, it is spelt is COrAline. It was an animation that was something similar to Monster House with a little bit of Narnia, the lion, the witch and the wardrobe.

It has been quite awhile since I went out with my friends, and I also found out that although most of my classmates were not that close to me and some I could even feel disliked me, they still saw me as a friend-associate when I had to leave first. Right after leaving the cinema, I had to leave immediately to meet my family, and I was actually considering whether to just leave the group without saying as I wasn't that close to them anyway, but decided against it as my family raised me to be polite, so I went up to the group and said in Chinese that I had to leave and said bye to everybody, not expecting a reply, but what surprised me was that I heard a bye-bye from the group! And I could feel the friendliness in the voices.

That changed the way I thought. Now I realized that unless you are downright enemies with a person, and even if the person dislikes you, you are still friends and there is bond tying you and the person together, no matter how small it is.

I guess this would be considered a successful class outing, however, some of my classmates are not going due to various reasons. Well, what's counted is that most of the class is there. I guess I shall sign off now, since nothing much happened today.

I always loved novelties ever since I was born. Though I'm not a die-hard collector, I still love buying those cheap toys that interests me. Novelties however, can become very expensive, like now I'm saving up for a watch that has a camera on it. I thought it looked interesting and decided to save up for 1. For this particular novelty, I plan on improving it further to make it the best "spy-watch" possible. Although novelties are "useless junk", I still love them as they have the power to pique my interest, even after I have long forgotten them and just picked them up. Maybe I should keep my "treasure" in a safe place, and maybe when I get older, the value of it increases and I could give it to the future generation.

There is a scheduled class outing on 10th November, but I'm not sure if it will happen, however, I hope it does, because it's the last time me and my class are together. And I guess everybody would end up in tears, which I find strange since we weren't a very united class to start with. However, who am I to judge how emotions work. Hopefully this outing will happen and will be the first and the last class outing 1/2E2 ever had.

My streaming results are out. I got into the top class (amazingly) which is 3E1. But somehow I didn't feel anything. Like overjoyed or anything like that. Well, I made an appeal for a change in my Humanities subject from SS/Geography to SS/History. Hopefully my appeal would be successful. I guess it's time for me to start taking things more seriously, after all, fate placed me into the top class, so I'll prove fate that it had made the right choice. But first of all, I need to get ready for the Robocup 2010 qualifying which is 24-26 November 2009. I'll give it my all no matter what challenges I face!

Sigh... Time flies so fast... Maybe I should also start posting on my old blog... Well, at least I'm not advertising here anymore ^^ Just came back a day ago from a leadership camp. Learnt a lotta cool techniques in managing teams as a leader. There was a total of 73 participants in the camp which are potential or already are leader.

The cool part is, on the second day, me and my new found friend, Zong Hao led the whole group in a game called "Stargate troopers" In this game, everybody has to form a circle, with the exception of 2 people using 1 hand each to hold a rope to make a hole. Everybody has to go through the rope without any part of their body touching the rope, and everybody's body has to be in contact or the game will restart. Most of the time I was the one giving the commands to everybody. At first, the circle formed was sort of in a disarray meaning everybody was mixed up, however, the group's strategy was to have the circle from shortest to tallest. When I shouted "Everybody! We need to reform the circle from the shortest point at this point, to the tallest to this point! Move NOW!" Everybody went "Wahhh" which was a little extra, but I was like yea whatever just get it done. We had a lot of retry's and the facilitator only gave us 40 minutes and kept telling us the record he saw was 150 people. The whole group also did a total of 80 squats just to get hits for the game. In the end, our record was 26. BUT, the facilitator confessed to us that he lied, the actual record he saw was only 16 and we played the game with a very unfair rule, both people holding the rope could actually use 2 hands. And it was simply amazing! We beat the record by 10 people with an unfair rule!! Great job everybody!

At night, right at lights out (11:30pm) , everybody had to do 60 push-ups because a few people made noise 3 times and the teacher said 20 push-ups for each noise. Well, I can't say I don't blame them, however, everybody makes mistakes and we should all just learn from it and get on with life.

The bunk we stayed in was actually a container in which the top half had another platform to make a level 2. Ahh both nights I did not sleep with my sleeping bag and instead used it as a makeshift pillow. The second night was so hot that I slept without my shirt on, and still was feeling hot! (Amazingly, I didn't get any mosquito bites at all!)

I guess this is it for this post, turned out quite long you know, and I think I'll post this also to my blog unedited.
